And Our Top 5 Mangas of All Times are…..

Top 5 Manga books

brought to you by Izzy

Intro

This list of best mangas isn’t any one, as I will be giving each manga a sci-fi rating, from 1 to 10. Some mangas may have nothing scientific, and others could have loads of cool science facts. Even though I rate the manga from best(for me), to worst(for me), these “sci-fi ratings” will have nothing to do with that!

5. Dragon ball Super

You probably know what dragon ball is, but do you know what dragon ball super is? Well, a guy that can fly and shoot rays with his hands named Goku (while saying “KAMEHAMEHA!” 😉 ) and who lives on earth is visited by the “ruler” of their universe. This guy visits earth and decides to not destroy it because he likes the food. He then meets Goku, and loads of stuff happens!*

*I will not be stating any furthermore descriptions as I do not want to spoil it. Also, it is too long to explain. You should probably read Dragon ball first.

Sci-fi rating: 3/10:

Why: Scientifically, it is not impossible that many universes exist, like in this manga (12 universes exist in the manga). There are many theories for this. People that can fly and shoot rays don’t exist, and neither do universe rulers that visit planets, well at least for now.

4. One punch man

A guy was once spared by a monster who aimed to kill a little boy; so he managed to defeat the monster and save the boy. Since then, he trained so much every day for three years! He even lost his hair because of all the training. Now, he beats every villain in one punch, making him the strongest being in the world. Will he ever find a worthy foe?

Sci-fi rating:5/10:

Why: Is it possible to become so strong you can beat a gigantic spider in one punch? No. Is it real that training every day for hours can lead to hair loss? Yes. This story has some “possible” stuff in it. After all, everybody knows that alien monsters and those kinda things are sci-fi. I really recommend reading this manga book.

3. Dr.Stone

I’ve already posted a book review of Dr.Stone, but everybody likes a little recap! Everybody in the world turns to stone, and several hundred years later a talented scientist named Senku breaks out of the stone. With his science brain, his objective is to restore today’s civilization from scratch. He is once attacked by lions and has to break someone free from the stone, except that person is the strongest boy in the world and aims to rule the stone world!

Sci-fi rating: 10/10.

Why: Please read my review of Dr. Stone for the full account of the educational stuff in there. This manga IS sci-fi. I like the way they turned an “educational book” into a manga!

2. Naruto

Ok, this is kind of crazy but Naruto is probably one of the most realistic manga ever. Why? Because everything in the Naruto world  except its “Ninja magic” is plausible or possible. The story goes as follows: the spirit of a nine-tailed fox gets trapped in the body of a baby that was born (this is the ninja magic part), whose name is Naruto. He wants to pass “ninja school” and become the best ninja of all time. He has to complete missions, exams, etc, but in nearly all of those, something goes wrong.

Sci-fi rating: 5/10:

Why: Well, nothing “scientific” happens in the series, but every structure in the manga’s world is possible. Every house is made of wood, shurikens are made of metal, etc. The ninjas in the story say that their power comes from their chakra, which could basically mean their spirit. Who knows, maybe we have inner super powers?

1. One piece

You may have heard the name of this manga before, as it is the most popular and best selling manga in the world! The main story is in a world where some mysterious fruits grant powers to whoever eats them, but it removes their ability to swim. A young boy named Luffy ate one of these “devil fruits” and became a rubber man(meaning he can basically stretch infinitely). He also wants to become the pirate king and conquer the seas, meaning he has to find the legendary treasure called the “One Piece”. The only bad thing about this manga book series is that it has over 100 volumes(BTW, I’m at volume 81 🙂 ). If you want to watch the anime, prepare yourselves for a 1081 episode journey!

Sci-fi rating: 2/10:

Why: Yep, One Piece has barely any science in it. There may be cool machines in the manga’s world, but practically all of them are impossible. Most devil fruit powers aren’t possible to have in real life, except the Suke Suke no mi fruit, that holds the power of invisibility (as it is scientifically possible to make stuff invisible)

A little ending

Hope you liked these reviews! I also hope you liked reading those sci-fi ratings and their descriptions. Bye! 🙂 🙂
